PDF Simplu

PDF Simplu for AI agents.

AI agents can use some PDF Simplu tools directly: through a public MCP server, a simple API or, in the browser, WebMCP. They are built for Romanian text and Romanian e-Factura invoices. Free, no account needed.

What agents can do

  • restore_romanian_diacritics: adds the missing diacritics to a Romanian text and flags ambiguous words;
  • parse_efactura: reads an e-Factura invoice (UBL XML or the ZIP archive from the ANAF SPV portal) and returns structured data: supplier, customer, tax ID (CUI), lines, VAT, totals, IBAN;
  • efactura_to_pdf: turns an e-Factura invoice into a readable PDF, with correct diacritics;
  • list_pdf_tools: the list of tools on the site, so the agent can send people to the right page for their files.

Connect over MCP

The server address is https://pdfsimplu.ro/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no authentication). In Claude Code:

Limits: texts up to 50,000 characters, files up to 5 MB and 30 requests a minute from the same IP address. The first restoration after a pause can take a few seconds while the model loads.

In the browser: WebMCP

PDF Simplu pages declare their tools through WebMCP, for agents that browse the web: list_pdf_tools, open_pdf_tool and restore_romanian_diacritics. Diacritics restoration runs locally, in the browser, without sending the text to the server.

Privacy

Texts and invoices sent over MCP or the API are processed in memory and forgotten straight after the response. Details in the privacy policy (in Romanian).
