What you need to know

How to do it on iPhone

  • Tap “Choose files” and pick the PDFs in the Files app, several at once if you like.
  • Use the arrows to put the documents in the right order.
  • Tap “Merge PDFs”, then “Download”. The file is then in the Files app under Downloads.

What about the Files app itself?

The Files app can turn several selected files into one PDF from its menu, but you have little control over the order. Here you set it first and see every page.

PDFs from Mail or WhatsApp

Save attachments to the Files app first: open the attachment, tap the Share icon, then “Save to Files”. After that you can choose them here.
