The steps, in short

  1. Gather every pageScan or photograph each page in turn. File names don't matter; you set the order in the next step.
  2. Add them to the toolYou can select several images at once, from your gallery or a folder.
  3. Put the pages in orderDrag the thumbnails or use the arrows. Rotate pages scanned upside down.
  4. Create the PDFYou get one file with a page for each image.

If your scanner saves one PDF per page

Many multifunction printers save each scan as a separate file. Combine them with Merge PDF: add all the files, put them in order and download one document.

Straight from the printer's scanner

Some scanning programs have an option like “Add page” or “Scan multiple pages into one file”. With it you get one PDF with every page. If you can't find it, the method above works with any scanner.

Scanning with your phone

On iPhone, the Notes app can scan: open a note, tap the camera and choose Scan Documents; you can add as many pages as you like to one scan. On Android, the Google Drive app has a Scan button that does the same. Or use Scan to PDF right in your browser.
