What you need to know

What the Planning Portal accepts

According to the Planning Portal's FAQ (checked October 2026): each supporting document can be up to 10 MB, and ZIP files and executable files aren't accepted. Check the portal if you're unsure, as limits can change.

Large drawings and photos

  • Scanned plans are often far larger than needed: compress them here.
  • Split a large document set with Split PDF if one file is still too big.
  • Don't upload ZIP archives: add each PDF separately.
